Renovation Project at University of Agriculture Faisalabad

TT Global Foundation’s recent renovation project in collaboration with the University of Agriculture Faisalabad for their research laboratory in the Department of Entomology.

On May 26, 2025, the TT Global Foundation, also known as the TT Care Foundation in Pakistan, in collaboration with the University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF), inaugurated a newly renovated research laboratory in their Department of Entomology. The renovation addressed significant deficiencies in the Entomology Department’s building, utilities, and IT infrastructure.  Investment was also made in the look and feel of the working space, to the extent that university students now feel proud to use it.

The entomology programs at UAF are critical to the private and government sectors.  Tackling vector-borne and endemic diseases in Pakistan, such as malaria and dengue, and managing pests, are crucial to supporting the largest industry in Pakistan’s economy, agriculture. By working alongside UAF to create a world-class training environment for the country’s future entomology problem solvers and innovators, we delivered on one of our key missions: community development with sustainable impact.

The work was substantial, including the installation of new water supply, drainage, and gas lines, as well as performing electrical work and repairing glass windows. An electrical overhaul established a new lighting and air circulation system, enabling students to attend seminars even during Pakistan’s hot summers. New furniture and flooring were also added, boosting the students' comfort. We installed a large screen, sound system, and cameras for online sessions with students and webinars with farmers.

Over 300 undergraduate and master’s students in the UAF’s Department of Entomology now have access to a state-of-the-art research lab.
